Imagine sitting at your table on your wedding day...
You're sitting next to your husband (how fun to say!) looking out at your guests and taking a moment to soak it all in. At this point you're either going to feel thrilled with the beautiful design and happy guests or you're going to see a room of plain white tables and lackluster decor. Now don't get me wrong, the most important thing is the presense of your family and friends. But now that they're here at the big celebration, you want your guests to be surrounded by a beautiful environment to create a forever memorable experience in your honor.

You've probably heard people say they don't remember most parts of weddings they attend. Maybe the food or music. But I would challenge
you to ask if anything was extraordinary and special? You don't remember mundane, but you remember exciting details and ambiance because of how it made you feel. So if you want guests to remember your special day then create special moments throughout.
To give you an example: I went to a wedding with a lovely outdoor
ceremony at a weeping willow tree. How can you go wrong with a
weeping willow for your backdrop?! (okay except the bugs) But what I remember most about this otherwise average but nice wedding is the
table numbers. Probably not what you were expecting right? I remember them because the bride was a teacher and her students drew pictures and each one served as the table number. How special and meaningful is that?!
And this leads me to the importance of your tables. The tables take up the majority of the space in your reception room. They are the canvas on which everything else is built, so please give linen selection the attention it deserves. This is where a lot of your color in the room comes in to play. Gorgeous floral centerpieces can often fall a bit flat on plain white linens but pair them with beautiful textures and/or colors and you can elevate the look of the entire room. Create a dining space you're proud to present to your guests!
